LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — The Courtroom of Arbitration for Sport suggests Russian Deputy Primary Minister Vitaly Mutko has submitted an attractiveness against his life span ban from the Olympics.
Mutko, a previous sporting activities minister, was deeply implicated in Russia’s doping plot at the 2014 Sochi Olympics by two IOC commissions and a Environment Anti-Doping Agency investigation.
Mutko’s ban was imposed last month ahead of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics future month.
But CAS suggests Mutko’s “process will conclude soon after the Winter Olympics as there was no ask for for an urgent determination.”
