Barcelona & Real Madrid credited with interest in Crystal Palace defender

Spanish football’s two leading clubs have long been keeping tabs on the development of a member of the defensive ranks at Premier League outfit Crystal Palace .

That’s according to English outlet The Sun, who point towards Marc Guéhi as the player in question.

Guéhi, it is understood, could be on the move this coming summer.

With just a year remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park, the Crystal Palace brass will be forced to make a decision: Sell now, or risk losing a valuable asset for free in 2026.

Should the England international be made available, a whole host of Premier League clubs are expected to quickly move for his signature.

It may come as something of a surprise, though, to hear that Spain could prove his most likely landing spot.

Owing to a long-standing agreement, players with African citizenship can be considered Spanish nationals. With Guéhi having recently renewed his Ivorian passport, the 24-year-old would therefore not take up a non-EU spot in the squad of a La Liga club.

And with this in mind, as per The Sun :

‘Real Madrid and Barcelona have kept tabs on his progress – and the lure of a dream move to Spain could prove too much for Guéhi.’
