Warriors to host eighth annual California Classic Summer League

Chase Center will serve as host for the California Classic Summer League in 2026.

SAN FRANCISCO

— The Golden State Warriors will host the eighth annual California Classic Summer League, presented by CarMax, at Chase Center on July 3, 5 and 6, featuring three days of game play between the Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs. For the second time in three years, Sacramento will host a dual California Classic Summer League, taking place on July 4, 5 and 6, which will feature a second Warriors entry alongside the Sacramento Kings, Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. Chase Center will host California Classic games for the fourth time in the event’s history, including each of the last three years.

California Classic games will include rookies selected in the 2026 NBA Draft along with players competing to make the NBA and G League regular-season rosters. Golden State’s 2025 California Classic entry featured rookies LJ Cryer and Will Richard, both of whom appeared in games for the Warriors during the 2025-26 NBA season, along with Santa Cruz contributors Marques Bolden, Ja’Vier Francis and Jackson Rowe. The roster featured an additional three players who appeared in games with other NBA teams: Blake Hinson (Utah Jazz), Chris Manon (Los Angeles Lakers), Bez Mbeng (Utah Jazz).

Similar to other Summer Leagues, modified game-play rules will be in place, including 10-minute quarters. Chase Center games on Friday, July 3, and Sunday, July 5, will be ticketed events, while games on Monday, July 6, will be available via broadcast only.

California Classic two-day pass presales for Season Ticket Members begin tomorrow at 10 a.m., with two-day passes on sale to the general public on Friday, May 1, at 10 a.m. Single-game ticket presales for Season Ticket Members begin Wednesday, May 27, with single-game tickets available to the public on Thursday, May 28, at 10 a.m.

The Sacramento event will feature a Northern California battle between the Warriors and the Kings at Golden 1 Center on July 5. The winner will lay claim to the redesigned Mitch Richmond Trophy, named in honor of the NBA Hall of Famer who made a significant impact on both franchises. The Warriors currently possess the trophy after winning the inaugural Battle of NorCal at Chase Center in 2024.
