Gary Neville makes Mo Salah feelings clear after Liverpool comments - 'I'd be fuming'

Gary Neville has laid into Mohamed Salah over his social media outburst regarding Liverpool 's poor form, saying he would be "fuming" if a Manchester United player had acted in the same way.
Salah announced back in March that he would be leaving Liverpool at the season and will play his final game for the club on Sunday when they host Brentford at Anfield. But the 33-year-old's last campaign in a red shirt has been a disappointing one for both club and club, with scrutiny growing on Arne Slot .
Liverpool's 4-2 defeat against Aston Villa on Friday night means the reigning Premier League champions are not assured of a place in next season's Champions League heading into the season finale.
And Salah appeared to take another swipe at Liverpool's beleaguered head coach, who he targeted in an explosive mixed zone interview midway through the season, in his post by calling for a return to the "heavy metal" attacking football that was synonymous with Jurgen Klopp 's teams.
Neville , speaking to Sky Sports , criticised Salah's latest bombshell, which is also unlikely to go down well with his head coach.
"He's pulled the pin out of a grenade right in the middle of the room. And he's walking out of the room," Neville said. "Mo's not happy over there.
"It's not great. If he was a Manchester United player, I'd be fuming. But what you can never do with this kind of player, with this kind of stature and personality, is keep them quiet. If they've got something to say, they're going to say it. And they're going to say it at the point where you don't want to hear it.
"That was a telling comment. Arne Slot will not welcome it whatsoever. But he will just want to get to the end of the season, get out of there, get everyone out of there that's not going to be there next season, and try and build."

Slot has been heavily scrutinised in recent months and further criticism has been levelled at the former Ajax boss in the wake of the damaging defeat to Aston Villa , who sit fourth in the Premier League ahead of Liverpool.
But Neville believes Xabi Alonso's move to Chelsea is a clear indication that Liverpool will keep faith with Slot for next season.
"The signing of Xabi Alonso did tell me that Liverpool are going to keep their manager," Neville added.
"Which I'm happy about. A manager who won the league 12 months ago deserves another chance to get it right, having had a more challenging season this time. He's still in the Champions League. But Salah's comment won't be helpful."
