Bayern Munich have categorically ruled out selling Harry Kane , having praised the England captain as the club’s ‘best ever transfer’. The former Tottenham Hotspur forward has continued his lethal strike rate in Bavaria since a £82m move from North London.

Kane’s record sits at an eye-watering 146 goals in just 147 outings for Bayern, an amount that boasts a brilliant hat-trick in their German Cup final win against Stuttgart. His performances have continued to garner interest, with Barcelona having been linked with Robert Lewandowski set to leave at the end of the season.

But Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeness is confident that Kane will stay at the Allianz Arena. Speaking to Das Erste, he said: “ Harry Kane is the best transfer we’ve ever made. FC Bayern is a buying club not a selling club.

Asked whether he is sure of Kane’s commitment, Hoeness added: “Yes, and Barcelona have no money anyway.”

Kane was also asked about his future with Bayern but cut a calm character. He said: “It’s not the time to talk about that now, but there’s no panic.

“We wanted to hold conversations until the end of the season and we’ve got a World Cup still to play. But everyone knows how much I enjoy it here. That situation is calm.”

Kane has just over a year remaining on his contract with Bayern Munich , albeit the club have been keen to tie him down to a new deal for some time.

“In terms of staying longer I could definitely see that,” Kane said earlier this season. “I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.

“Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes, what we achieve together. We are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

“In terms of the Premier League , I don’t know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back. Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn’t say I would never go back.”

Kane will certainly hope to carry his sensational form for his club onto the international stage. The striker has once again been named in the England squad for the upcoming World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada.

Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to now include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, as well as 135 channels and full Sky coverage of the Premier League and EFL.
