Arsene Wenger has sent his congratulations to Arsenal as the Gunners were officially crowned Premier League champions.
The title race came to an end on Tuesday night as Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
It left Mikel Arteta’s side with an unassailable four-point lead at the summit of English football heading into the final round of games this weekend with celebrations in north London well underway.
It is Arsenal’s first trophy in six years and their first league triumph since 2004 with Arsene Wenger at the helm that year as his ‘Invincibles’ side made history.

Shortly after the final whistle at the Vitality Stadium, Arsenal released a celebratory video on their social media channels, featuring a message from their former manager.
Wenger said while raising a glass of red wine: ‘You did it. Champions go on when others stop. This is your time. Now, go on and enjoy every moment.’
Arsenal take on Crystal Palace in their final game of the league season on Sunday and will be presented with the trophy at Selhurst Park.
A week later, the Gunners will be chasing more silverware when they take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
