Pep Guardiola will undoubtedly take comfort from having his daughter Maria by his side during his Manchester City farewell on the final day of the Premier League campaign. The City manager is preparing to say goodbye to the club after their home clash against Aston Villa on Sunday.

It promises to be an emotionally charged occasion at the Etihad Stadium, where Maria has been a familiar face in the stands throughout this season. The 25-year-old - who is the daughter of the football icon and his estranged fashion stylist wife Cristina Serra - works as a model and regularly travels across Manchester , London and Spain.

The brunette has also lived in Barcelona , Rome, Brescia, Qatar , Mexico, New York and Munich while following her father's playing and coaching careers. She once made a heartbreaking admission when she revealed that the careers of her parents led to their reduced time together as a family.

She told Vanity Fair: "Given the hectic pace of my parents' careers, we didn't get to see each other much.

"All our moves have revolved around his career, first as a player and then as a coach. Football has shaped much of our family's journey." However, she did note that the constant relocation resulted in her self-confidence improving.

She continued: "Moving so frequently gave me a great deal of self-confidence, which I don't think I could have gained in any other way at such a young age. I also fondly remember that sport was a big part of my childhood.

"Following my father around the world to watch matches created special memories and brought the family very close together." Guardiola's decade-long reign at the Etihad coincided with reports that he's lived separately from his wife since she moved back to Barcelona in 2019.

The 55-year-old lives in a lavish Salford flat while Serra now resides in Barcelona's Eixample district after leaving their £8.5million marital home, according to Spanish podcast Mamarazzis.

Maria, meanwhile, boasts 895,000 followers on Instagram and frequently shares content from her globe-trotting lifestyle, with several posts from her visits to the Etihad attracting considerable attention.

She sat beside her father during City's 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals last month while Guardiola served a touchline suspension, with assistant Pep Lijnders taking charge from the dugout.
