TNT Sports Snatches Community Shield from ITV in 2025

THE FA have confirmed that the 2025 Community Shield will no longer be broadcast by ITV.

In the latest announcement the FA confirmed the prestigious season opener is moving to TNT Sports instead.

This change comes after ITV’s long-standing association with the Community Shield , a match that traditionally marks the beginning of the English football season.

Fans will now need to tune into TNT Sports 1 to catch the action live and exclusively.

AN FA statement read: "The 2025 FA Community Shield match will be contested by the 2024-25 Emirates FA Cup winners, Crystal Palace , and 2024-25 Premier League champions, Liverpool.

"The game will take place at Wembley Stadium connected by EE on Sunday 10 August.

"It will be broadcast live and exclusively on TNT Sports 1, with kick-off at 3pm BST."

Both sides are looking to make a statement before the start of the new season.

The Eagles will take to the Wembley pitch as the FA Cup winners, having secured the famous trophy in the 2024-25 competition with a win against Manchester City.

Liverpool clinched the 2024-25 Premier League title and will hope to add another trophy to their impressive first season under manager Arne Slot .
