Arsenal set to smash Premier League record with £770m windfall after title win

Arsenal are on course to celebrate their first Premier League title in more than two decades in style by banking up to £770million in revenue, having already eclipsed the previous record set by Manchester City .
The Gunners ended a 22-year wait for a domestic title on Tuesday night courtesy of City's failure to beat Bournemouth . Mikel Arteta's men had finished as runners-up in three consecutive seasons prior to getting over the line with Manchester City besting them on two of those occasions.
Arsenal could yet supplement their title win with a maiden Champions League triumph as they prepare to face Paris Saint-Germain in the tournament's showpiece final in Budapest.
But even if Arsenal fall short in Europe, their success this season has already seen them surpass the record financial results previously recorded by Manchester City.
The Times report that Arsenal have already guaranteed themselves £760m due to their title-winning campaign. That figure is significantly higher than the previous £715m high posted by City and may even nudge Arsenal up into third in the world's richest club table behind Real Madrid and Barcelona .
The Gunners recorded revenues of £691m last year and would profit further should they be able to beat PSG later this month and win the Champions League for the first time.
Such a feat would also guarantee them a berth in the 2029 edition of the Club World Cup, though Arsenal could even qualify if they lose in Budapest depending on their UEFA co-efficient ranking next year. Chelsea banked around £90m for winning the inaugural edition of the revamped competition last summer.

Arsenal, who will earn around £25m more from the Premier League this season, are set to reward Arteta with a new contract after the Spaniard ended their agonising wait for a title.
Mirror Football outlined on Wednesday that rewarding Arteta with fresh terms and bolstering the team's attacking options were a priority for the summer regardless of the outcome of the Champions League final.
The former Manchester City striker, Julian Alvarez, is a target with the club also planning to strengthen their left-wing options.
