Man United Legend Antonio Valencia Helps Save Man from Suicide
In powerful act of humanity, Antonio Valencia former Manchester United & Ecuador national team captain helped prevent man from taking his own life in Ecuador.
Valencia shared the incident on his Instagram account explaining that while driving across bridge, he saw man attempting to commit suicide.
"I stopped the car and approached him. Thankfully he recognized me. I tried to speak some encouraging words" Valencia revealed.

Describing the situation as "extremely difficult" Valencia emphasized that the man’s family arrived just in time which helped change his mind.
"I’m grateful his family showed up. That made the difference" he said.
Valencia concluded with heartfelt plea:
"Please take care of yourselves, your minds and your hearts. Mental health's so important. Life's fragile"..
