Gary Neville blasted the officials and launched into a raging rant after the second half of Tottenham's Premier League clash against Everton was delayed due to technical issues. The Sky Sports commentary admitted he was 'absolutely furious' after a problem emerged with fourth official Stuart Burt's communication.
Spurs were supposed to kick-off the second half at the same time as West Ham so the games synced up, as is customary when there's survival to play for on the final day of the Premier League. However, the second half was delayed by more than five minutes as officials worked to try and fix the problem.
Neville was not best pleased with what he was seeing, and said on Sky Sports : "Honestly...what blows my mind is that they have had nearly 20 minutes to check it.
"The fans are booing and rightly so. This is not good enough." The second period at West Ham had already been ongoing for five minutes when action eventually resumed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Home supporters made their feelings clear and were heard booing particularly loudly before the problem was eventually resolved. Despite their anger at the delay, they would've no doubt been pleased with what they had seen from their team following a very impressive first half in which they dominated.
Joao Palhinha eventually put his side in front as he reacted quickest to sweep home his header from a corner that struck the post.
Jubilant scenes followed on the touchline with Palhinha mobbed by the substitutes after Guglielmo Vicario jumped on the back of Roberto De Zerbi.

Those two were involved in a touchline bust-up earlier in the half following a foul by Jake O'Brien on Mathys Tel, which resulted in a yellow card.
De Zerbi was far from pleased on the touchline, and his anger continued over to the two benches with Vicario and Seamus Coleman exchanging words.
The Everton defender even approached the Spurs bench to continue the disagreement after Vicario appeared to suggest he would meet him in the tunnel.

Anger from those of a Spurs persuasion was also on display later in the half when Micky van de Ven was caught late by Merlin Rohl.
Through Sky Sports commentary, it was confirmed that VAR checked the decision but decided that further consequences were not needed.
Joy and relief did ultimately follow moments later, with Palhinha finding the back of the net to put the Lilywhites in a great position to avoid relegation from the Premier League .
