Transfer news LIVE: Arsenal discuss Rashford, Man Utd agree deal, Liverpool exit
Welcome to Mirror Football 's transfer news live blog ahead of what's going to be a busy summer.
Manchester United look as though they're going to be the first Premier League side to strengthen their squad, after agreeing a £37m deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson . Michael Carrick guided the side back to the Champions League and was appointed permanent manager after an impressive stint in charge.
United know they have to strengthen his squad if they want to compete on multiple fronts and the club are hopeful of signing another midfielder, with Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson at the top of their transfer wishlist. In terms of outgoings, Carrick also needs to find a solution to Marcus Rashford's future, with Barcelona reportedly not willing to activate their option-to-buy.
Premier League winners Arsenal are also looking to strengthen and have been linked with a move for Aston Villa playmaker Morgan Rogers . The Gunners, United and Chelsea are all being linked with the England international who has made a strong start to the season.
Liverpool are also looking to rebuild their squad this summer and know they need to find a replacement for club legend Mohamed Salah after his departure from Anfield was confirmed . Yan Diomande, Bradley Barcola and Anthony Gordon have all been linked with a move to Arne Slot's side, though they look set to miss out on the latter after the Newcastle star underwent a medical at Barcelona.
The Daily Mail claims Barcelona are plotting a move to sign Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie, but know it'll be a hard deal to pull off. The defender spent last season on loan with the Gunners, helping them win the Premier League title and reach the Champions League final.
Arsenal have agreed an option-to-buy the defender from Bayer Leverkusen for £45million and a reported 10 percent sell-on clause. If Mikel Arteta's side do make the move a permanent one, Hincapie will sign a five-year deal.

Manchester United are on the verge of finalising a deal to make Atalanta midfielder Ederson their opening acquisition of the summer transfer window. United have been in discussions to secure Ederson in a move valued at approximately £38million.
United have intended to revamp the midfield, but bringing in Ederson is not expected to change the club's strategy to land a high-profile replacement for Casemiro.

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate is set to leave Anfield this summer when his contract expires. There had been some speculation claiming the French international would extend his current deal with the club, but he now looks set to move on.
Sky Sports claims the Reds and Konate were not able to agree terms of a new contact, and the defender will now leave after five years at the club.

Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon has reportedly passed his medical at Barcelona ahead of a £69.3m move to the La Liga giants.
The Magpies winger had been attracting interest from Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Arsenal, but has opted for a move to the Nou Camp.
Hansi Flick's side look to have won the race to sign the England international, who is set to star at the World Cup this summer.
