Virgin Media has brought back its popular TV giveaway as the company offers free smart TVs perfect for watching the FIFA World Cup . With the tournament now into the knockout stages, football enthusiasts hoping to enhance their home setup for the biggest matches can grab a complimentary £250 LG smart TV.
New customers can claim the deal by registering for one of four Virgin TV and broadband packages , each of which provides hundreds of TV channels, a choice of Sky Sports and Sky Cinema and fibre broadband with speeds up to a whopping 1,130Mbps. After signing up, customers can choose to receive a 43” LG Ultra HD smart TV worth £249.99 or a £125 bill credit.
However, time is running out to claim the free LG TV before the deal ends at 11.59pm on Wednesday (July 1). It’s available when signing up for one of Virgin’s Cinema, Sport, Sport + Cinema, and Max Volt bundles .
Each of these include more than 200 TV channels and a free subscription to Netflix Standard with Adverts, while the £47.99 Cinema bundle also comes with Sky Cinema channels add-on and 362Mbps broadband. Football fans may prefer the £57.99 Sport bundle , which replaces Sky Cinema for Sky Sports and full coverage of the Premier League , EFL, Formula 1 and much more.
Customers can roll both of these packages into one with the £67.99 Sport + Cinema bundle , which also boosts broadband speeds to 516Mbps. Virgin’s most premium option is its £79.99 Max Volt bundle , which comes with all the above benefits but with super-speedy 1,130Mbps broadband and an unlimited O2 SIM card.
However, it’s worth noting that Virgin will increase its prices each year, with most packages rising by £4 from April 2027, while the Max Volt bundle will rise by £6.50. For those securing Virgin Media’s free TV deal , it’s now easier to switch thanks to the new One Touch Switch scheme, which allows customers to sign up without having to contact their old provider.
Sky is giving away freebies too, as its Ultimate TV and 300Mbps Full Fibre Broadband comes with free subscriptions to Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ and Hayu. It also includes 135 channels, such as Sky Atlantic, for £41 per month, with Sky Sports available for an additional £20.
