Arsenal are thought to be in the driving seat to land Bradley Barcola if the attacker departs Paris Saint-Germain this summer with emerged talks over a new contract paused.

Barcola played a significant role in PSG's maiden Champions League triumph last season but has fallen behind Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the pecking order following his return from an ankle injury sustained against Chelsea back in March.

And it has now emerged that talks over a new contract have been put on hold ahead of the Champions League final - with PSG's opponents in Budapest among those courting the 23-year-old .

L’Equipe claim Barcola may actually be sold by PSG this summer in order to facilitate a transfer for a new attacker, with Arsenal tipped as the Frenchman's 'most likely destination' if he does exit.

Liverpool have previously been linked with Barcola but their interest, while genuine, is said to have cooled slightly given his favoured position is on the left wing. The Reds are in the market for a successor to Mohamed Salah , who operates on the opposite flank.

Barcola is understood to be contracted until 2028 and has scored 13 goals for Luis Enrique's side this season. He was linked with a move to the Premier League last summer, only to remain in Paris.

Arsenal are expected to pursue attacking reinforcements this summer to bolster a squad who could yet end the 2025-26 campaign with a Premier League and Champions League double. They can be confirmed as Premier League champions before their final game of the domestic season on Sunday if results go their way, while PSG stand between Mikel Arteta 's men and a first European title.

As the season draws to a close, there are doubts over the future of some forward players at the club and Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard , Arsenal's primary left-wing options, have both been touted as potential sale options for the summer transfer window. A departure for either player would leave a spot in Arsenal's attack for a left-sided player such as Barcola.

The Gunners spent big last summer and will need to sell in order to finance more landmark deals. Other players who have been tipped to exit The Emirates this summer include academy graduates, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, plus Ben White and Gabriel Jesus .

Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to now include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, as well as 135 channels and full Sky coverage of the Premier League and EFL.
