Chelsea have announced that four players will be leaving Stamford Bridge when their contracts expire later this month . Academy products Jimi Tauriainen, Sam Rak-Sakyi, Richard Olise and Brodi Hughes will all depart the club, as confirmed in the Blues' retained list released on Wednesday morning.

All four players' contracts run out on June 30 and will not be part of the Blues' future under Xabi Alonso. Tauriainen, who arrived at Chelsea in 2020, made his first-team bow in the FA Cup fifth-round clash with Leeds United in 2024 before making a brief substitute appearance in the Premier League against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.

Despite this, the Blues have opted against offering the Finnish youngster fresh terms. Rak-Sakyi, on the other hand, featured four times for Chelsea's senior side during his spell at the club.

The midfielder, who has been part of the west Londoners' academy since he was eight years old, contributed to the Blues' Conference League success under Enzo Maresca in the 2024/25 campaign.

Olise, the younger sibling of Bayern Munich winger and ex-Chelsea academy prospect Michael, is set to move on following more than 10 years at Cobham.

He will exit, however, without ever featuring for the Blues' first team. Similarly, Hughes will leave without making a senior appearance.

Fellow academy product Ronnie Stutter will remain at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea placing the striker on a month-to-month deal.

The closing line of the club's official statement read: "We thank all our departing players for their contributions during their time with the Blues and wish them well for the next chapter in their careers."

The decisions come as Alonso prepares to join Chelsea this summer. On his appointment, the Spaniard said: "Chelsea is one of the biggest clubs in world football and it fills me with immense pride to become manager of this great club.

"From my conversations with the ownership group and sporting leadership, it is clear we share the same ambition. We want to build a team capable of competing consistently at the highest level and fighting for trophies.

"There is great talent in the squad and huge potential at this football club and it will be my great honour to lead it.
